hello everyone! i have filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and haven’t yet received a discharge. i have some student loans. should i keep them paying on or should i make the payments after discharge?
Hi PO,
Student loans don't get discharged in bankruptcy filing. You should pay them to keep them current. But check it with your bankruptcy attorney.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi PO!
Welcome to the forums!
As the student loan is not included in your bankruptcy filing, it is better to keep on paying it on a regular basis.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

You should know that student loans don't get discharged in bankruptcy. Keep on paying off your student loans so that you can remain current. If required, take help from your bankruptcy attorney.
