have 2 children that are 19 and 18 can i quit deed my rental houses to them? they will be eventually there's ; have had them for many years!"? finaciacially my husband and i are struggling. and don't want to lose our home or rentals we have had for years, before filing bankrupsty. many credit debts do to fixing up rentals and a bad business move. what about placing vehicles in kids names that we own right out to them?
Hi rfantelli,
If you transfer the property and the vehicles to your kids now, you won't be able to file for bankruptcy in the next one year. If you do so, then this transfer would be considered as a fraudulent one and the bankruptcy trustee can get them back and include them in your estate.
I would sugget you to speak to your bankruptcy attorney and then take any further step.
Thanks
