I filed bankruptcy on July 1 and I had my 341 meeting last week. My question is regarding my vehicle. I included it in the bk to go back to the lender. When will they come get it? Is it about 10 days after the discharge, or 45 days after they learned of my intention not to keep it, or what? Will they send a letter to my attorney?
Hi Banda,
The lender will come after the vehicle after your bankruptcy discharge. You can contact the vehicle lender and ask him to take away the vehicle asap so that you can get rid of it.
Thanks

Hi Banda!

There is no specific time limit mentioned for the repossession of the vehicle. It will be the discretion of the lender as to when he will repossess the vehicle.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
