Thanks Adonis. I was on my 403b's website (Nationwide) and it is asking about outside assets - the only outside asset I have is my home and it has no equity due to the current housing slump (lost about $40k in equity almost overnight!). Or is the outside asset considered my actual 403b balance? That would be about $52k. I notice if I punch in $52k in outside assets it tells me I can borrow up to $50k, which I will not do (I am looking for about a $15k loan). If I put in $0 for assets, it says I cannot borrow anything. I guess I could call Nationwide, but was just curious if anyone had any insight. Thanks!
Hi jerseygrrl,
I would suggest you to have a word with Nationwide and they will help you in clarifying the issue. They will let you know what you need to include as your outside asset.
Thanks
