I have a mortgage on a property which I am successfully paying off. Now, my son, who is in college and wants to get an apartment close to the college. But the thing is that he has no credit. Will be able to get approved for an apartment even if I have a mortgage on property. I have good credit.
Hi Hanna,
Your mortgage may not cause a problem for you to rent an apartment provided you can prove that you will be able to afford the mortgage as well as the apartment rent.
Thanks,
Jerry

Welcome Hanna,
As Jerry has said, you will be able to afford the mortgage and the apartment rent and you should meet all other requirements as asked by the landlord in order to rent it.
