I purchased a house on a contract deed around 2 years ago and the taxes and insurance are paid through escrow. However, to my surprise last year and this year again, I received CANCELLATION of homeowner’s insurance from the Insurance Company. Seller has not sent it in again. I feel this is violation of the contract. Am I correct?
Hi Guest,
Whether or not it is a violation of the contract will depend on the language in the contract. You should go through the contract in order to find out about the language. If you don't understand it, you can even have a word with your attorney in order to sort out the matter.
Take care.
