Hello there... I am buying a REO property from Fannie Mae. No lenders are involved in the deal. I am buying the property for cash. The approximate closing cost that I have to pay the closing attorney is $750. When I bough my previous property, I was charged $500. Why is the attorney charging me more this time?
You must have bought the previous property many years ago. That is the reason why you had to pay such low closing costs. Now things have changed, the cost of closing have increased by leaps and bounds. I would rather say that $750 is quite a low closing cost.
Welcome Zumba,
At present lender's charge a closing cost of $2500 - $3000. Your lender is charging quite a low amount.
