I amended my taxes because I forgot to add a 1099 to the total. So my income went up. But I just filed them, and sent them in with a check for the difference. I am closing in 2 months. Will they be on my transcripts from the 4506-T or will I be screwed. I gave the mortgage company a copy of my amended tax return which helped me qualify for the loan I wanted. Just curious if that could cause a problem at closing. Please someone answer soon
Hi fredlennartz,

As you've already sent the amended tax filings to the IRS, I don't think you'll face any issues during the closing of the loan.

again thanks, are you a mortgage broker? No offense, just curious on how you know I should be ok?

I can understand your concern, Fred. I'm not a mortgage broker.

I appreciate you trying to help me adonis. Does anyone know how long it takes for taxes that are sent in to the irs, to show up on your transcripts. Thats my only real concern. I turn everything in legit. Nothing shady, just worry because of the timing, it might not be on my transcripts in time for closing. Like I stated above, I sent them in 2 weeks ago, and I am closing in about 10 weeks, because it is a new build. Any thoughts on this issue?

I think the fastest the transcripts are avaialble is about six weeks. that is the fastest. It can take a lot longer. There is no way of knowing ahead of time if yours will be one of the faster ones or one of the slower ones.
