I need to talk to someone about homestead
Good for you, but I can't understand your question.
I am thinking about filing for bankrupcy because my husband cant work any more because of a disease we cant afford the bills any more all the income is his social securety this is why I need to make sure our house will be saved as you know the market is terrible and we can barely afford the payments and buy food . hope some one can explain about how to protect our house
thanks Ruby
thanks Ruby
I'm really sorry to hear about your situation, and I do hope your husband recovers soon. Keep your head up...this too shall pass.
I'm not a lawyer, but it sounds to me like you should find yourself a good bankruptcy lawyer who will give you a free consultation and discuss your options. Homestead exemption laws vary from state to state, so an attorney practicing in your state should be able to explain how much equity in your home you can protect.
