my daughter is on disability and stands to inherit $60,000 plus what will happen to her assistance?
Hi mbezzler!
Welcome to forums!
If your daughter is receiving the Social Security Disability (SSD), then no matter what her age is, she is most likely also receiving Medicare benefits. This is not a means tested program. Thus, the eligibility for this program is not affected by any change in her assets or income. Thus, it means that any money she receives from a settlement in a lawsuit or by an inheritance will not affect her benefits.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi mbezzler,
I agree with Sussane. The inheritance may not affect her disability benefits.

Im in a wheelchair for 22 years and receive disability ,medicare and KanCare Medicaid and received an inheritance of 120,000 what will they take if not all
Hi Jim,
There are chances that the inheritance amount may be taken over by the Medicaid in order to recover their dues.
