Will it be a good option to open a joint bank account with my girlfriend? Though I am adult, she is still 17 years old! Can we do this?
As your girlfriend is not an adult, it will be difficult for her to get a bank account in her name.
Minors cannot open a bank account. They must open a guardianship account. The guardian is usually the parents, the guardian under a guardianship appointment, or court order.
However, that does not stop her from using an extra atm card or endorsing checks over to you for deposit into your sole account.

Thanks for the explanation, Joshua!! :)
