My landlord is not accepting the rental payment. He is also trying to change the rental amount in violation of the lease. He is threatening he will do so. I am concerned that he may then attempt to evict me for non-payment. How will I be able to document that I am offering the rent mentioned in the lease?
Hi Guest,
Well, it is illegal that the landlord is charging you more than what is mentioned on the lease agreement. You can contact the local renter's rights organisation and check out if they can help you in this regard.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Guest!
Welcome to the forums!
You can even contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard. He might be able to let you know as to what steps you can take against the landlord.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
