mother in law has alzhemiers and we signed a quit claim deed 1 1/2 years ago. we thought we would be able to keep her for the rest of her life. but she took a quick turn for the worse and it turns out that is not possible for us to keep her anymore. she had to go into the nursing home. can medicaid put a lean on the property?

If the property has been already transferred in your name, then the Medicaid will not be able to place a lien on the property. However, she may not be eligible for Medicaid benefits as there will be 5 year waiting period after the transfer of the property.
