Medicare lien

We are trying to foreclose on a property. We have checked
with a title company and our lein & 2 tax liens are on it now. It
does not show any other. One of children thought a medicare
lien was on it. Does medicare have to record on te property.
Can we do a non-judical forclosure and avoid any claims of
medicare.

Hi btbob!

Welcome to forums!

As far as I know, if Medicare places a lien on the property, then it will have to record it at the county recorder's office. Unless it does so, I don't think it will be able to claim the payments.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi btbob,

You should get in touch with a local real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard. He will let you know what steps you can take in this regard.

Thanks
