I have a rental agreement and cannot pay the rent now. The landlord has informed me that he is going to the court to the file paperwork tomorrow! Well, if we move out of the property before the said eviction, will it still be mentioned in my credit report?
Hi Guest,
If you don't make the payment on time, the landlord has the right to file for eviction. If the landlord files for eviction and receives a judgment, then it will get mentioned on your credit report even if you leave the property earlier.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Guest!
Welcome to the forums!
I agree with what Jerry has said. It will be better if you could get in touch with your landlord and negotiate with him so that he does not file for the eviction. It will be the landlord's discretion whether or not he will agree to it. It would have been better if you would have left the property when you received the "pay or quit" notice.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
