Rental payments

Posted on: 19th Sep, 2013 01:04 am
We are renting this property for 3 months now. Recently we were contacted by the property management company who informed us that the landlord is facing problems and has put the property for sale. He apologized and we were given 30 days notice in this regard. They informed me that we will have to pay the rent for the month of September. Is this legal?
Though you are served with a notice to leave the property, you are liable for the rental payments for that month. There is nothing illegal in it.

Hi Chaddy,

I agree with the opinion of Niicss. You will get the security deposit back but you will have to pay the rental payments for that month.

Thanks
