Hello there... I need advice! I live in a home and rent out 3 bedrooms. One of my renters has notified me they intend to move out in 5 days and do not intend to pay rent due to no contract. Am I protected in this case?
Hi Kempy,
In order to avoid such situations, it is better to go for written contract rather than verbal contracts. Nevertheless, you should contact a real estate attorney and check out if this can be considered as month to month lease. If yes, then in that case, the tenant will have to provide you with at least a week's notice.

Generally, real estate contracts need to be in writing. There are exceptions. Contact an attorney.
