My husband and I own a house and there is also a roommate staying at my house. We have a written agreement with her. Suddenly she announced that she is leave the house by the next weekend. As things were not going smooth between us, I am happy she is going. She said she could refund some of the rent. Now the contract states that she needs to give 30 days notice before leaving. What should I do now?
Hi Freaky,
If there is a written agreement between both of you, then you will be able to take legal actions against her if she does not follow the agreement. You should immediately get in touch with an attorney in this regard.
Take care

Hi Freaky!
Welcome to the forums!
She is breaching the contract. In such a situation, as Sara has said, you can take legal actions against her.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
