Hello everyone… I have a free and clear house with a tenant on it. The tenant is anxious to buy my house. The tenant has been a good renter and has paid the rent on time. I would sell it to them as For Sale by Owner AS-IS. I would end up holding the note and they would be paying me the monthly payment. I am going to sell it for $37,000. I bought it in 1980 for $26,000. How can I sell it to them without hiring a realtor or real estate attorney? Thank you.
Hi TNT,
It is fine that you don't want to hire a realtor while selling off the property. However, I personally think that you should take help of a real estate attorney in order to complete the deal. He will help you use the correct documents while selling off the property and there won't be any unnecessary surprises later on!
Thanks

Hi TNT!
Welcome to the forums!
Even I consider it a better option to take the help of a real estate attorney while drafting the documents of the deal. This will help you avoid any complications later on.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
