If a person claims and forges a deceased home owner signiture to continue getting the senior homestead exemption, can this person be prosecuted or just have to pay back taxes, penilties and interest?
Hi TONIACE,
Legal actions can be taken against a person if he or she forges someone's signatures to get senior homestead exemptions. If a person has done so, then you can contact a lawyer and take legal actions against him. The lawyer will be the best person to let you know what type of actions can be taken against that person.
Thanks

First off, call the police. Forgery is a crime.
