my wife quit her job and did not go back to work. i've tried to encourage her to do so but she refuses to do so. I am about to peruse a divorce. can I be made to pay spousal support
Hi Guest.
Welcome to the forum.
It is not mandatory to pay spousal support or Alimony but in certain circumstances the court can order you to pay. So you may need to pay the spousal support but it all depends upon the divorce decree. So contact with an attorney and take his guidance.
Best of luck,
Larry

Welcome nichole,
Your question is not clear to me. It would be better if you could explain your question in details.

i don't know any divorce lawyers on this forum. the discussions here are meant to tie into credit, mortgages, and other financial matters. the questions above are best directed to attorneys who specialize in divorce.
I agree with George 100%, plus we are not attorney's and cannot give that type of advice - seek an Attorney's advice
