How long to you feel a city or town hall from tax taking to forecloser process will take? also, a tax taking is just a lien correct? you dont lose title until they foreclose, meaning they go to court, file a petition to forclose and advertise in local paper? Please advise
Hi Nickthegreek!
Welcome to forums!
If you do not pay the taxes, the tax department will file a lawsuit against you in order to get a judgment and place a lien on your property. You won't lose the title of the property unless the tax department forecloses it to recover his dues.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

when property goes into tax title, does that count as a judgement? or is a judgement only when you file a complaint and you are served to go into court? Is the cities or towns forcloser process a long processes?
Welcome Nickthegreek,
Once the court gives its opinion in the favor of the lender, it will be considered as a judgment. Normally a foreclosure takes around 90 days time. It might sometimes vary depending upon the state and the county you reside in.
