Can I get copies of my prior year Forms W-2 from the IRS?
Welcome Richo,
You can obtain your prior year's tax return forms and processed returns including the W-2 Form, you should fill up Form 4506 ( http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf ) and send it to the IRS by mail. You may have to pay $39 fee also.

You can get the copies from your employer. If because of some reason it is not possible then you can order & pay for copies of your entire return. You can get such information for up to 10 years.
But you cannot get information for the current year; like for 2005 if information is filed in 2006 then it will not be available until 2007.
Expect to get a response in this regard within 60 days.

Hi Richo,
The IRS can provide information on W-2 Form for up to 10 years. The only way to access a copy of a prior year form from IRS is to file Form-4506, and pay the required fee as stated by Adonis.
Call 1-800-829-3676 to obtain Form 4506 and request for the tax-return copy
