Tenant on rental property

Posted on: 06th May, 2013 02:21 am
I am a tenant with two others on a rental property. Amongst the other two tenants, one of them has gone mad (for whatever reason) and has left the property. She has also refused to pay the rest of the rental payments. Now that 3 of us took the rental property as a whole, the rental agency wants us to pay off her part of the payment. We cannot afford that! What should we do?
Hi Bobby,

You are surely in a tough situation!

It will be better if you could negotiate with the tenant and somehow convince her to stay in the property and pay her share of the rent. If she does not do so, then you and the other tenant will be in a mess.

Take care

Hi Bobby!

Welcome to the forums!

You're basically in a tough spot. Either you will have to negotiate with the tenant who has left the property or the agency through whom you rented the property. You will have to convince either of them in order to come out of this mess.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

hey, that is sad, you two the remaining can't give the part of the third, but yu three took the rental property together, so here the renter is not the person to blame, I think, so i suggest talk to your partner and try to convince her.
