firstly you maintain all the records of your monthly expenses like groceris utilitys ,insurance payment , car payment etc.

Regularly take out the statement of your bank account and all your source of income so that you can find out your average earnings and your expenses.
you can take any softtware which helps you to maintain your budget like budget planner.
