Bankruptcy in CA

Posted on: 11th Jun, 2012 01:47 am
I faced an accident and got injured due to that. I was not at fault. Now the accident lawyer does not want us to file for bankruptcy as his case is pending with insurance. In the mean time while we got tons of bills pilled up, one of the creditors sue us and got judgment. Even we being able to pay this creditor so far he wants 6k money by next month. We don't have that amount immediately. Thinking to file for bankruptcy in ca. Will it be a good option?
hi pillow,

filing bankruptcy should be your last option. you should first contact the creditor and ask them to provide you with a payment plan which will help you in paying off the debt easily.

thanks,

Hi Pillow!

Welcome to forums!

Even if you want to file bankruptcy, you should first discuss your situation with the bankruptcy attorney and take his opinion whether or not it will be the best option for your situation.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
