I live in a mobile home park in California where the land is leased. The rent payments have gone up so much over the years that we can no longer afford to stay here. I have been trying to sell the home for over 2 years with no luck because the rent is too high and we owe literally 3 to 4 times the amount of money other homes in the park are selling for. The mortgage company refuses to work with us. What will happen if we walk away from the home and it is reposessed? What are the risks other than bad credit?
