I am an extremely patient and polite person. A few months ago I began searching for a lender who would refi with borderline credit requirements. We have an uncomplicated mortgage and were just looking for lower rate to save us money in the long run. We went to lending tree, got a response from a couple of lenders but Eagle Nationwide gave us the best rate. After drilling them about average closing times (they literally told me 3 weeks!!), paperwork, closing costs, etc..we went forward because I trusted what I was told. All can say 3 months later IS STAY AWAY!!!! From day one we've been literally lied to (at the time I felt we had misuderstandings) then they became DAILY issues. I faxed everything in within HOURS of them asking but every week there were more delays for paperwork that they didn't get (although I had the confirmations), or they would get 20 of the pages but not the other 6? Made no sense. This was literally daily. I was promised DAILY that something would be done by the next day and it NEVER happened. The light at the end of the tunnel was last week when we closed on Thursday. Relieved it was finally over and that our cash-out was going to be deposited Tuesday (after the 3 day "back out" period -for us only) we made a deposit on our son's dental surgery and took the weekend off to celebrate. Then on Monday we got a call that somewhere in our area there was flooding and we need to pay for the appraiser to come make sure our house isn't under water. So after many heated conversations and my threat to fax in our "back-out" form before midnight on Monday, they agreed to refund the fee in our cash-out and promised the appraiser would "drive by" on Tuesday. So here it is Wednesday, I'm told that the appraiser will be by on Friday instead, our deposit on the dental surgery bounced and I'm going to consult a real estate attorney to see if they are breaching any contracts. I'm also writing about my experience in the mortgage section of our local paper. In addition to the lies, I've received tons of e-mails to other clients with their personal info on it due to "accidents". I've also accidently received forwards that were written between co-workers at Eagle talking about clients which some included foul language. I guess I should've had a clue that if they can't work a simple e-mail acct. then they're not looking very promising!

Can't tell you how many times we have heard this exact story from consumers after going through lending tree. For the life of me I still can't figure out why consumers keep going through that horrible site. Also a nice tidbit for you is that they will be selling your personal information for months to come to whoever is willing to pay.
