Anyone here used entitle direct for title insurance. I am looking for some feedback about them..since they are extremely aggressive with their pricing. a $1000 diff in the quotes ...
Let me know.
Thanks

Thanks
I read an article about them on WSJ...supposedly they are cutting Title Insurance cost by over 35% of the average typically charged by the big boys Stewart and Fidelity
I think its a good thing...
Let us know if you try them out

Thanks!
Thanks!
so far they have been awesome...their fees are better than anyone i have ever seen
I used them. Their title went ok. Escrow was horrible. They had no idea what they were doing. I will stay away from them.
Stay far far away! I have a transaction where I represented the seller. The buyer used Entitle....Currently Entitle has no idea where the deed of trust is....and is asking to record just the deed...without payment!! CAN'T happen here. The closing notary seems to have disappeared....the $52,000 check for the 20% is unaccounted for, and the short sale 48 hour window to fund this transaction is almost over. HUGE mess...and it could end up the buyers have to move out of the house. Use a local title company!!
Had client try to close with them. HORRIBLE experience. as the previous individual stated, stay far far away. There is a reason why the big underwriters sign agents... for their expertise in the local marketplace, attention to detail, and presence!! Why do think you dont see Fidelity/First American/Stewart trying to write to local realtors and or attorneys and or mortgage LO's... they cant. Its a control issue, and sometimes in business, the phrase "you get what you pay for" is extremely applicaple. In this, and many cases ive heard, this is apparent because entitle is clueless to the local process.. you cant mass nationalize title insurance. like real estate, its a local service. Best of luck, but stay away
Thank you both for sharing your experience!
We used them in VA and things went just fine and we saved a ton of money.
Our realtor didn't like it because she couldn't get the "referral" to her local Title Guy who was over $2,000 higher than Entitle Direct.
As you know, and we saw on Title Guy's HUD 1 form: $500 title insurance policy + $2,000 agent fee to Title Guy = a ton of wasted money for a homebuyer.
