Has anyone done business recently with Loan Depot out of Irvine Calif? What was your experience? trustworthy? Thanks in advance.
Hi deepsea,
I can understand how you must be feeling!!
You should once again try and get in touch with a supervisor and try to sort out the matter. If that is not possible, then I'm afraid you may lose the rate lock fees and start it off all over again.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

I just refinanced my home with Loan Depo in December. 30 year fixed, 3.65%, amortized loan My total closing costs were $400.00 and there were no points. It is a really great loan and the people I worked with were wonderful. It think overall it took about three months (a bit longer than they said it would), but I have no complaints and would work with them again.
Thanks for sharing your opinion and experience about Loan Depot!! :)
Applying for a mortgage isn't the same thing as buying a car. For one..the process itself takes alot more time..and bankers aren't out to waste your time nor theirs. Words of advice..nothing is free. Direct lenders will give you a great rate at low costs and brokers will give you the same rate but charge you 4x as much. Lenders can lock your loan in immediately..brokers can't..so they will undershoot the market to get you in the door and give you "hope" before they "harm" you for reasons why you can't get the rate they offer. I work for a large company and I have worked for a broker. Best words of advice. Use Quicken, LoanDepot, Chase, or whoever holds your mortgage. They all do it right but the difference lies in customer service and turn time.
Brokers will rape you in costs without you even knowing it.

i am almost done with my refinance with loandepot here in az. i have been skeptical because i have been to the offices twice and the people are so very nice it scared me. i thought it was too good to be true. well, they are the real deal and my experience has been painless and seamless. low rates and reasonable closing costs. they have kept in touch and have followed through on every request. i guess they either hire nice people or they threaten with painful things if they are not nice to customers. :d
Thanks for sharing your experience in the forums. :)
Ive refinanced probably a dozen times in my life. Loan depot was the worst experience ever. They made me sign three times to close. All three times their mistake. They charged me an extra 990 dollars because it took three months to close and rates went up. Closed the first time in 40 days within the rate lock period and they forgot to subordinate my HELOC. Huge error on their part. Couldn't understand why they would charge me for their mistake. Will never do business with them again. It was about the principle of charging me for their mistake. If they made it right with me I would be ok but they just couldn't at that point because now theyre losing money on my loan. THEY SHOULD SUCK IT UP AND HONOR THE AGREEMENT!!! Bad BUSINESS PRACTICE! Don't do business with any company that doesn't honor their commitment period! Thanks
Thanks for sharing your experience, bsmits!
If you can use Daniel Conrad. He is upfront and honest. I just refinanced my home through them and they did a great job. Hope this helps.
Thanks for sharing your experience, BB!
