I have a mortgage with Nationwide. We set up another fixed rate in August. The third part of our Mortgage wasnt set up by the Company, it was there fault. They compensated me with £150 and said they would clear my credit file.(this was 2 months ago atleast. Now after xmas we applied for a credit card and they refused me and my wife. When i asked Experian they told me that Nationwide hadnt cleared my file!! We was fuming to say the least. So ive rung the offices in Northampton because the Branch i got my Mortgage from forgot to ring me back and said they was too busy. They then rang me and said theyd ring me 4pm prompt the following day and guess what....yep they didnt call!! I have since spoke too some people higher up in NAtionwide who have been very helpful. Well that was until yesterday when i got a letter off The Senior Advisor for Lending control who thanking me for my letter?????? I aint sent nobody a letter!!! Can anyone please help or advise me and give me an indication of what sort of compensation i should be looking for. Regards
Hi Mark,

The best thing is to call up the representative at Nationwide Mortgage and have a straight talk with him/her regarding the letter you've received. Also, ask him/her whom you need to talk to about clearing your credit file. If possible, visit their local office, if any and show them the letter you've received.

Good luck
