Rude reps at Quicken Loans

just an fyi -

i am doing some research about a potential refinance in the very near future and am not yet ready to have everyone run my credit. in order to find out any remotely helpful information on the websites you have to give them all of your information.

this prompted phone calls from various people at the several websites i visited. as each called me i explained that i was not ready to have my credit run and move along in the process. most of the reps were very gracious about this and said that they'd check back with me at a later date. all but one.

i received a call from a gentleman at quicken loans who was awful. he began by quoting google, yahoo, forbes, etc. saying that his company was the one they recommended to all of their employees, familes, readers, etc. because they were the best and have the best products to offer. then went on to say that anyone telling me info without running my credit was giving me quotes they couldn't possibly live up to... you know, really trying to push the sale.

then when i told him i really wasn't interested in doing that right this moment he began the attack. he was arrogant, pushy and rude. and he flat out said 'by doing what you call "research" you are wasting your time and the time of the people trying to help you. when can i get beck in touch with you where you will be interested in seeing what we can offer you that day and willing to make some decisions?'

i won't ever do business with this company and highly recommend that they be avoided as, while they're growing leaps and bounds, they have lost sight of customer service and are simply focusing on 'sealing the deal.'
Hi Aimeecate,

Welcome to Mortgagefit discussion board.

I have heard about quicken loans as one of the reputed loan companies. But did not know they behave like that with customers.

Information you have provided will be helpful for people thinking about approaching them to get a mortgage.

Thanks
Blue

Hi Aimeecate,

Welcome to our forums.

You are absolutely correct in taking the decision of not dealing with such a company. I mean can they really threaten you and shout at you for no reason. And, I must say you've intelligently dealt with all such companies by not going after them.

It makes no sense that they'll all come after you even thought you've just requested for some information on refinance. I must tell you something - this is all marketing stuff that the gentleman must have told you about quicken loans.

Good luck :)

My advice to you is to visit Quicken Loans website and in Contact us write a email to the Branch officer giving reference of the person who was arrogant with you !!! Nowadays corporate companies are having strict rules for giving bad customer service so it will be better if you explain them what happened and see what happens.

I agree with sagarthakar, putting a complaint at their website can be one good way of letting the authorities of that company know about the kind of behavior you received from one of their representatives.
