loan mods seem very popular at the moment - is there a cost to get you loan moded directly through your bank?

Loan modification is really not a product. So i would not say popular, but has becoem a necessity for peopleto surviev in this bad economy

And loan modfication is not done by any bank. It normally doen by the bank who owns your mortgage.

For example you cannot go a bank who does nto hold yoru mortgage and ask for loan modfication

there is no exact answer, some say it took them 12 months some more time it all depends on how well you negotiate.
