my mom applied for section 8 about 10 years ago. how do we find out the status of our application? we are atlanta, ga residents. and have been since 1996.

You need to contact the local PHA (Public Housing Authority) for the same. As it has been 10 years since your mother had applied for Section 8, I doubt whether or not the application is still valid.

Contact the housing authority in Atlanta, Meearly. You can do a simple Google search and find an address and phone number to try.
