Hello… My credit report states that I owe state tax lien to the State of Georgia. I am certain I owe no money to the State of Georgia because I never stayed in that state. How do I go about clearing this from my credit report?
Welcome Guest,
There may have been some mis-communication. If you haven't lived in that state, you won't be owing any tax lien to State of Georgia. You should contact the credit bureaus and dispute the item with them. They will help you in removing the negative item from your credit report.

Did you ever have any relations with Georgia, such as a student loan?
