Can you file for a copy of someones report if they are unable to do it?
Can you file disputes on their behalf? What do you need to legally do this? Will a power of attorney work in this case? please help, disabled gentlemen wants to know the answers and I have none to give. Look forward to your responses?

Hi Jbarto.
If the person is disabled and there is something wrong on his credit report then you can work it out for him. Contact the consumer reporting company and submit a letter pointing out the wrong information in the credit report. You should also include the documents to support his/the disabled person's position.
Hope it helps.
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry

Thanks Larry, his son and he have the same name, I believe, not sure, but I think that some of the son's negative activity is showing up on his. This man has worked hard his whole life and has paid his bills on time, I just want to help him out, he does not appreciate the blemish on his name. thanks for the guidance, we will pursue it in this manner than.
Jbarto, this is definately a really bad point when giving a son your name. My husbands mother did this exact thing to him since his father had the same name. We ahd no clue she even had his SS number. Then the tax place was billing him for taxes that were actually his fathers because of the name situation. Thank God the ones they wanted to collect on was the ones where he was only 16 at the time. This seems to be a never ending battle. unfortunately his father passed a few years ago and evrything is now pretty much cleared up and no new accounts are opened. (his mother never paid anything). What a wonderful thing you are doing for this man. You seem to be a great p[erson. Hope you get nit worked out for him.
