I have good credit but my wife has really bad credit. I want to know if there is any other way to use her income as a plus on my income?
Hi Beeloww!
Welcome to forums!
You can try making her a co-signer for the loan. This will help you use her income as a plus on your income. However, it will be the lender's discretion whether or not he will allow her as a co-signer.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hi Beeloww,
I will suggest her to take steps to improve her score and then both of you can jointly apply for a loan. To know some steps to improve your score, you can check out the given page: http://www.mortgagefit.com/credit-rating/credit-repair.html

You can opt to make your wife a co-signer if you intend to apply for a loan so that her income would be a plus on your income. However, depending on how bad your wife's credit score is, it will still be the discretion of the lender whether to approve your application or not. Regardless if you get approved or not, I would suggest that your wife takes the necessary steps to improve her credit score.
Hey beeloww! Just like what the other users have mentioned, you can use her income as a plus on yours if you make her a cosigner. However, jointly filing for loans may affect your chances because of her bad credit. I suggest that you wait till her credit score improves and reaches good credit score.
Yes, you can be a co-signer for a mortgage loan to take advantage of your wife's income as well as your good credit score.
However, it is best to wait for her credit score to improve since co-signing for any line of credit inst a preferable choice. This is because if your wife defaults in making the loan payments, then you'll be held liable for that and your credit score will also suffer a big blow.
