You have not mentioned about your credit score, however there are companies who provides loan to people with credit score of 580. If your score is less than that then you have to improve it. You can do that by being current on all your bills. If you have any account with low balance then try to pay it off and tell your creditor to mention that in the credit bureau. Try to get the latest credit report and check if there is any discrepancy. You can also request the creditors to agree to "Pay for delete" ( PDF ) agreement by which all the negatives on your account will be removed and help to improve your credit score.
