Less than perfect credit

I need to know if it is actually possible to obtain a mortgage if you have less than perfect credit. And if so, how do you find a mortgage lender that will help you? We've been paying rent for 13 yrs. now & I want my own home. Is there any hope for us?
Hi Natalie,

With a bad credit, it is quite difficult to qualify for any kind of loan. After the real estate crisis, most of the lenders have stopped giving loans to people who don't have perfect credit.

Thanks

It is difficult to get approved for a mortgage loan with a less than perfect credit score. But, the final discretion to approve you a loan, rests upon the lender. You can still contact with lenders.
