My hisband has been unemployed for alomost 2 years now. He has maxed out one of his credit cards with out me knowing (we pay our owns bills) and now refuses to pay his credit card bills since all of his creditors have raised his APR. He's willing to be quit claimed off the house. Can his creditors put a lien on the house after he is quicked off or even if he isn't?
Hi faillace!
Welcome to forums!
If the property has been transferred to your name, then your husband's creditors will not be able to place a lien on the property. However, if the creditors have already sued your husband and if he transfers the property to you now, then he can be penalized for it.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
