I had several credit cards and had all but one settled. Chase bank is the one that would not settle. It was written off on my taxes and bumped us into a higher tax bracket. Now a new attorney Stillman is coming after us for double the payment they have a 90 day judgement and are going to garnish. Anyone know how to handle this?
Hi Guest,
You can try and negotiate with the attorney so that you can get a repayment plan to pay off the dues. If you've a financial hardship, you should let the attorney know about it so that he can negotiate with your creditor and forgive a part of your balance amount.
