Hi there… I had several collections listed in my credit report which were included in my chapter 13 filing in Feb. 2007. The discharge date has been listed as Feb. 2014. However, the CRAs are reporting the removal date as 7-2014! Isn't the date of deletion, my discharge date? Not the date the collection company first tries to collect which they list as 7- 2007...do all collections listed under chapter 13 get removed from the day I filed or the day the collection company states?
Hi Bolmol,
Your debts will be discharged in 2014. Getting discharged doesn't mean that it will be deleted from your credit report. Any negative item will remain in your credit report for 7 years and then get deleted from your credit report.
Take care.

Hi Bolmol,
Sara is correct in saying so. Getting a discharge is not equal to getting the negative items getting removed from your credit report.
Thanks

It's just like James and Sara said. I'd like to add to it though ... your creditors shouldn't include "lates" on your credit report, if they're reported after your filing date. If there are any, file a dispute and be sure to include Schedule F from your bankruptcy filing, so the credit bureau can confirm it's a true dispute, and have the creditor remove those "lates".
