I have a credit card with my local bank and now I was to convert it to another card they have available.... Do you think they would allow it to happen?

The local bank will be ready to offer you a product change. However, certain products may not be eligible for product change. You will have to speak to your bank and check out if your credit card qualifies for a product change.
