My husband and I have had to move due to his work. We have had our home on the market for two years with absolutely no luck. We are now paying a mortgage and rent. We are considering a DL. We aren't currently behind on the mortgage but are very close. Both our credit scores are poor due to credit card problems. How long will a DL be on his credit report.
Hi surpriselady!

The FICO score is likely to drop down by 250 points if you're on a deed-in-lieu foreclosure. If you plan for a short sale your credit score will go down by 75-100 points. A deed in lieu foreclosure will remain in your credit report for 4 years.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
