Hello, I need help. I had a Verizon account which I defaulted on. This account was solely in my name. But surprisingly, this account has been reported to my husband’s credit report. Is this legal?
Hi Ollie!
Welcome to forums!
If the account is solely in your name, then it shouldn't be mentioned in your husband's credit report. Your husband should contact Verizon as well as the credit bureaus and ask them rectify and update the account status in his credit report. He should ask them to remove the account from your credit report.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

If you have trouble you can send in a qualified written request to the lender, stating in formality that you want them to research that the spouse is not on the application or authorized to use the account. The lender has a set amount of time to respond when you send in the QWR. Good luck
