Back in 2009, I had to go to the hospital twice. During this time, I received 2 bills from the ER and never paid them because I was in college. More importantly, they came to my home address and my mom did not care to inform me. They both went to a local CA agency that called me and I paid them right away. What would be the best way to get rid of them now? Should I call the CA and see if they will delete?
Hi Camar,
The negative items will remain mentioned in your credit report for the next 7 years. You can apply for a pay for delete with the CA but it will be their discretion whether or not they will remove the negative item from your credit report.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Camar!
Welcome to forums!
I agree with Jerry that any negative item will in your credit report for 7 years though you have paid it off. You can negotiate with the CA to get it deleted but as Jerry has said it will depend upon the CA whether or not he will consider your request.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
