how can I have a different credit score?

Posted on: 23rd May, 2009 05:03 pm
I applied for a home loan and they told me that my credit score was 517. I monitor my credit and I knew that my EX was 587. I pulled all three credit scores and they are... Ex 587, EQ 552, and TU 566. How did the loan officer get 517?
Hi onlyoneaungie,

It is difficult to tell how the loan officer got 517 as your credit score. As you have pulled out the credit report yourself, contact the loan officer and check it out with him. If he is not ready to give you a loan, contact other lenders. You can speak to the lenders of this community and seek a no obligation free mortgage consultation. This will help you know whether you would get a loan or not.

Contact that loan officer with your credit scores that you have verify with him?
Also check how he got that figure.

onlyoneaungie, with the scores you reported, you are going to have difficulty finding financing. the minimum for virtually every lender these days is 620. what you would be wise to do is to find a lender who will work with you to help improve your scores to get to the point at which they'll be high enough. closely monitor your credit usage and pay old bills as quickly as you can, and stay on top of the current debt. doing this will enhance the scores.

onlyoneaungie you have the right to ask the ciredit report the loan offer pulled. Probably they will direct you to the agency they pulled it from and you can reverify the score with that particular agency.

May be some thign was reported in your report which might have cuased it.

How often do you montiro your score quarterly or monthly.

You are the best person to imrpove your score and you can work on it your self. all you need is some discipline and patience.

Try pay any current loans or credit cards on time and do nto apply for any new cards or loans. 65% of your credit score is made up of your history of payment and amount you owe.
Do nto cancel any accounts, but at the same time do not use too much of your credit cards.
