Will it be a good option to go ahead and dispute a lot of negative items on my reports when I am awaiting response to a DV letter? I'm not sure if this would make any difference to a CA. I have time to wait so it doesn't really matter.
As you have time to wait, I don't think you should dispute the items when you have already asked the CA to validate the debt. In case the CA does not validate the debt, then you can dispute the items and ask the credit bureaus to remove it from your credit report.
Hi Kandy,
I will suggest you to wait for the results of the debt validation(DV) letter. If you find that your CA is not responding to the DV letter, then you can send them a cease and desist letter and ask them to stop any further communication with you. Then, you can dispute the items with your credit bureaus and ask them to remove the negative items from your credit report.
Thanks
