A well known bank reported me as being late on my mortgage payment for Aug,Sept,Oct,Nov, and Dec of 2009 as well as Jan 2010. This info was seen upon me ordering my free annual credit report. Since this, i've contacted all three bureau's and my mortgage company disputing this ! The mortage company sent me a letter of correction for all of the above dates on April 1,2010. I ordered all three of my report's today, including my scores, but the info hasn't been updated. I've since faxed/mailed copies of the letter's to the agencies (as per their request). What is the point value of each late payment ?
i.e. scores of :
707
602
673
I was reported as 30 days in Aug,60 days in Sept,90 days in Oct,Nov,Dec & Jan....
Any advise......PLEASE HELP !!
Thanks-

Hi Michelle,
Can you tell whether you have the written proof of this dispute? However, you can wait for sometime, and again check your credit report. If you see that your report has still not been updated, you can first talk to the collection agency. Request them to update the report. If they still fail to update the report, you can file a complaint with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Thanks,
Sandra

Yes, I have the letter's from the bank and have contacted the credit bureau to dispute this info..I've sent copies of the docuements via fax as well as by mail. I guess I'm now just to await a response. How much of an impact with this correction adjust my credit scores ? I just want to know in point value what to expect.
Thanks-
