I disputed quite a number of trade lines with the credit bureaus recently. The 30 day time is over and I haven't received any responses from any of them. I was planning on waiting 45 days for a response anyway, but I need to know what steps to take if I do not get a reply from them. I have received all the greens cards back so I know they received the disputes. What should I do now?
I will suggest you to take a hold of your credit report and check out if they have updated the disputed account status in your credit report. In case, you don't find any changes, you should once again contact the credit bureaus immediately and send them a follow up letter. If you want to take any legal steps, then you can contact an attorney and sue them.
Hi Cinnamon,
I personally think that you should send them a follow up letter and ask them to give a reply to it asap. Once they give you a reply, you will be able to know the status of your dispute. In case, they don't give you any reply, then you can contact an attorney and take legal actions as Niicss has suggested.
Thanks
